Jane Seaton is an artist with a unique vision of South Dakota and the Native American culture which she was surrounded by as a child. Growing up in Mellette County on the edge of the Rosebud Indian Reservation during the 1930’s gave her a personal relationship with Indian people in a transitional time between old ways and new. Her colors and subjects are an honest representation of her life on the prairie.
